You know how good it feels to finally be diving some good conditions! Last good diving was in Ascension Island!

The Abrolhos Archipelago is an amazing place. The conservation work of the government has paid off huge here. Turtles are everywhere! Installing Lithium Batteries on a Sailboat!!! Part 1- Sailing Vessel Delos

Our Mission- Get rid of propane and move into the 21st century with induction cooking! We install a bank of Lithium batteries, a big ass inverter, and an induction cooktop. This video covers the installation process and what tweaks we made on Delos to get the system working.

After a pretty intense few weeks in the city we sail out of Rio and set our course for the Abrolhos Archipelago. Along the way we encounter whales, fix our engine, clean our hull, and much much much more! When we arrive in Abrolhos we are blown away by the beauty and go on the hunt for our first dive!

Sailing into Rio De Janeiro! – Sailing Vessel Delos Ep.183

When I think of Brazil, the iconic image of Rio automatically pops into my mind. And I’m pretty sure it does for you too. There’s just a certain mystique about this picturesque, exotic city nestled among breathtaking beaches and mountains that surround Guanabara bay.

Anchoring Delos right in the middle of this 7-million-person city was a completely surreal experience. If you asked me 10 years ago the chances that I would find myself in Rio, let alone on a sailboat here, I probably would have said next to nothing.

We spent nearly three weeks in Rio di Janeiro, and as you might imagine went on quite a few filming adventures. We feel like we got a good taste of the city, and picked out our favorite bits to show you what our experience was like. Enjoy 😀 ~Brian, Karin, Lisa, Brady and Alex

It’s fair to say that despite Brasil’s amazing food and gorgeous coastline, by far our favorite aspect of this country is it’s PEOPLE! Brasilians always offer their instant friendship and a helping hand whenever they can! Check out our time in Paraty as we make friends with some locals who cook us local cuisine aboard Delos, show us some secret waterfalls, and attempt to teach us to slack line 😉 We also explore the colonial city of Paraty and learn how the ballast street stones which now line the streets were once traded for gold and the tide rises into the streets to keep the city clean! Lizbeth’s last day on Delos!….for now! – Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 173

The time has come for Lizbeth to say goodbye to Delos and start her new adventure in France. But before she leaves we have a great last Delos party as a family of six! Loads of laughs, Caipirinhas, singing and some naked swimming in the dark. Then it was time to say the sad goodbye 🙁 Wow Liz it has been a fantastic 6 month, 5000NM and 5 counties together! Capturing Castelhanos the WILD SIDE of Ilha Bela- Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 172

Team edit with Leeesir, Killa Kiril, and Capt. Breeyawn! It’s a great mix of personality and beautiful nature! We kick off by celebrating Leesir’s birthday. She wanted to go hiking, but the weather wasn’t cooperating. YEAH says Lizbef 🙂 We end up having a party on Delos instead with lot’s of caipirinha’s followed by a Japanese inspired cooking marathon. YEAH says everyone 🙂 Up next we jump in a Jeep and take a 4×4 trail to the wild side of Ilha Bela, Castelhanos beach, where we encounter the raw beauty of the island and also the largest waterfall, over 70M (200 ft) high! Pretty soon it’s time to set sail for our next destination, so Capt. Breeyawn heads to the local marine store to sort out some parts, where he gets to practice his Portuguese skills with some success.
