Super Cruising in Malaysia and Thailand- Sailing SV Delos Ep. 59
After a massive provisioning run the crew leaves Mayalsia and sets sail for Thai waters! We make our first landfall in Thailand by swimming to shore, Max ends up in the Hospital, we survive a nasty squall in Koh Lipe, and make our way north exploring lot’s and lot’s of sweet spots!
~ This blog is intended to explain some of the reasons behind my decision to transition from the ocean to the land. To transition from Delos to New Zealand to simultaneously harmonize land based editing for Delos and to continue on my own path with Ramatree ~

The crew is complete!! Brady, Josje, and Babs are on the scene in Langkawi! We do a massive provisioning run and fill Delos’s bilge with duty free beer, wine, and chocolate. With Delos in tip top shape we hoist sail for Thai Waters:). We hope you enjoy Babs Video Debut!
New crew Frida and Max from Sweden join Delos in Langkawi, Malaysia! We immediately put them to work sanding, polishing, and griding and we haul Delos out of the water for a bottom paint job.
Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014. The Next day I woke up, looked up, smiled big, breathed deep, tossed the covers, and sat up. I look up, look down; my feet are on the ground.
Karin and Brian head to the awesome city of Bangkok! Their mission is to get their Indian Visa’s sorted out. Along the way they visit temples, eat local foods, and explore the streets.
How did I get to crew on Delos?
So….. I guess it all started one glum morning, where I was feeling a little down. Looking back it started like any other morning, except for one disappointing difference. It was one of those “woke up on the wrong side of the bed “mornings.

We eat and drink our way through the amazing city of Singapore with new friends! All too soon we must move north and set sail for Langkawi, Malaysia through the notorious Malacca Straits!
Sailing Into The Busiest Port In The World!- Sailing SV Delos Ep. 53
After filling up with cheap diesel in Brunei we set sail for Singapore, a 700 mile sail across the South China Sea. Over the 7 day passage some awesome sailing, some intense squalls, and deal with the crazy shipping traffic entering Singapore.
We left Cocos (keeling) at 2:35 June 22nd, we were all in high spirits and the air was alive with excitement and anticipation for our 1500 NM long passage across a big chunk of the Indian ocean, our destination Chagos.

Brian and Karin take 3 months off cruising to visit family in Sweden and America and end up circumnavigating the entire globe by air in 3 months! They return to Kudat and have only 4 days to get Delos ship-shape before the new crew arrives.
