We made it safely to our first stop on Santa Cruz Island yesterday morning. We’re currently the only boat in Fry’s Harbor and enjoying the peace and solitude. We heard a plane earlier today but other than that no other sounds of people, cars, or boats. Just us, the wind and the spotted sea lions that are sharing their home with us.
It’s supposed to be windy (30 to 40 kts) in the Santa Barbara Channel for the next few days so we’re going to stay put and wait it out.
We did hear about the Tsunami warning over the VHF and from Petter and Octavia who texted us on the sat phone. Thanks for looking out for us guys! We should be safe here.
