Ahoy Delos Tribe! After a few big and emotional episodes wrapping things up on Delos 1, we are back in full swing at the build. And in this week’s episode, we’re really taking you right into the middle of it. We explore what it’s really like to build a boat- how ticking off projects isn’t really a linear to-do list, but rather a spiderweb of interconnected projects where every step depends on the ten before and the 10 after. This week’s episode still doesn’t feel real, and spoiler alert you may want some tissues for this one (even sweet little Sierra shed a few tears watching it 🥹) It’s our final miles on Delos as we move her to the marina where we will haul her out, and the gravity of it all is really sinking in. We reflect back on 15 years of memories, adventures, and emotions, and so much more. It was quite an intense and emotional moment for us, but we couldn’t dwell on it for too long…because in true Delos fashion, our last mission is an absolute doozie, and we have to navigate our way through a shallow & narrow river at night with rain, squalls, and about a foot of clearance under the keel. You might recall that this was one of the last projects that we had been really focused on before leaving to French Polynesia, and it feels soooo exciting to be really digging in on this one. The moment is finally here that I know so many of you have been super excited for, we’re back at the build! It was such a happy reunion not only with our beautiful aluminum beast but with Dan and the whole gang 🥰 And when we see the progress made while we were away our minds were totally blown!
